Regarding budget for

Cuba Township General Town for fiscal year 2011-2012

Thursday, March 10, 2011; 6:30 pm

Supervisor Nelson called the hearing to order at 6:30 pm. Trustee Svacha led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call: David Nelson, Supervisor; Don Griffith, Trustee; Jack Mumaw; Trustee; Art Rice, Trustee; Roberta Svacha, Trustee.

Also present: Priscilla Rose, Clerk; Rebecca Tonigan, Assessor; Tom Gooch, Highway Commissioner; Barbara Murphy, Township resident; Deb Broderick, Road District Intergovernmental Services Coordinator

Public Comment
There was no public comment.

Adopt and Pass ordinance no. 11-O-01- Budget for Cuba Township fiscal year 2011-2012
There was discussion on various aspects of the budget. Griffith asked several questions regarding certain line items under the Assessor’s area. Rice suggested that next year’s budget include more specific line items. Mumaw suggested that a redesign of how finances are tracked be implemented in the future. It was suggested that Jenny Powell, the Township bookkeeper, review various aspects of the accounting software with Algonquin Township. Tonigan requested that the budget be reviewed in more detail with respect to carryover of unused funds from the previous fiscal year.

It was decided to review ordinance 11-O-01 at the April 14, 2011 board meeting.

A motion was made by Trustee Griffith and seconded by Trustee Mumaw to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 pm. Motion carried.
