ROSE IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE NOVEMBER 7 TH, 2006 ELECTION Voter registration– Any Illinois resident ,who will be at least 18 years of age on or before the election, may register to vote at the Township office. 2 forms of identification are required to register– one must be a photo i.d. and one must have your current address. Voter registration is available at the Township office during regular working hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm. Additionally, the office will be open for voter registration on Saturday, October 7, 2006 , 9- noon. To be eligible to vote on November 7, 2006, you must register by October 10, 2006. Grace period registration is available through October 24, 2006 only at the Lake County Clerk’s office in Waukegan.
Early Voting- Beginning October 16, 2006 any Cuba Township registered voter can vote early at the Township office through November 2, 2006. Early voting hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Thursdays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Early voting is also available on Saturdays, October 21st and October 28th from 9:00 am to noon.
Absentee voting—Is available at the Township office beginning November 3, 2006 and continues through November 6, 2006. Absentee voting is available to any voter that is unable to appear at their polling place on election day. Absentee voting hours are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm November 3, 2006 and November 6, 2006. Absentee voting is also available on Saturday, November 4, 2005 from 9:00 am to noon. You must be a registered voter in Cuba Township to vote at the Township office. If you travel to the same place each winter and will be absent on election day, please call the Township for a Snowbird Program enrollment card which will ensure that voting materials are mailed to you. If you are a student away at college, please contact the office for a Temporarily Absent Student enrollment card.
Election judges-Individuals are always needed to work at the polls on election day. Students, as well as adults, are eligible to become election judges. Students must be at least 17 years of age to be considered for entry into the Student Election Judge Program.
