The Illinois legislature recently voted to move the Illinois primary date to February 5, 2008. The following dates are relevant to the new election date: 

Voter registration closes January 7, 2008

Early voting begins at the Township office January 14, 2008

Early voting ends Thursday January 31, 2008

In person absentee voting begins Friday, February 1, 2008

In person absentee voting ends Monday, February 4, 2008

Election Day February 5, 2007

Voter registration re-opens February 7, 2008

More information regarding these voting services will be provided in an upcoming newsletter.

 

Voter registration is available at the Township office, Monday through Friday, 9—3:30 pm.  Two forms of identification are required, one must show your current address and be a photo i.d. and you must be at least 18 years of age to register.  Students home from college for Thanksgiving break and Winter break can register in person at the office and be eligible to vote absentee by mail in the February 5, 2007 election.
